UGG in the City, a Visit to San Francisco
This UGG fan recently went on a weekend long adventure in San Francisco. Mere moments in the city are all that is necessary to be clear of one thing, San Francisco ladies have STYLE and lots of it. These locals possess a look that is unique to the city by the bay and they know how to work it. What is the essence of the San Francisco look? Effortless earth tones, scarves with everything (rain or shine), layers (essential to the climate and oh-so-adorable), jeans, and boots! More specifically tall boots with low heels over skinny jeans, boots under boot cut jeans, and sprinkle in a peppering of ballet flats for variety.

How does UGG fit into this look? UGG boots are everywhere in San Francisco. One of the benefits of a seemingly seasonless climate, it seems. In a city where the temperature is rarely over 70 degrees for long and where the fog can be hiding around any corner, these ladies take advantage of the comfort and warmth that their beloved UGG boots provide.
The Classic Collection, in particular fits nicely into the San Francisco fashion aesthetic and ideal. In it’s most basic form, the look is just plain practical for this city. San Francisco has some serious terrain not often found in other cities. Home to some very large city blocks as well as some very steep hills and valleys, footwear that feels as good as it looks is key. The Classic Collection fits into the landscape perfectly.

The simplicity of the UGG Classic Collection lends itself to the versatility of the look that these urban ladies love and as some refer to as “the San Francisco uniform”. UGG fans can been seen in every neighborhood from Noe Valley to the Presidio. While some of these ladies were drawn to UGG merely by the popularity of the brand name, most have continued to be fans because of the honest-to-goodness comfort that the UGG brand provides.

As mentioned previously, it’s either boots or flats in this breezy city. Ballet flats are definitely seen strolling the streets and neighborhoods of San Francisco. I spotted lots of ladies wearing the classic ballet flat, known for their pretty looks and practicality. There were several UGG products in this mix too. Lots of fans of the Dakota and Ester were seen dotting the streets of the city and even a few fans of the Cozy were in the mix. Who would think that wearing your slippers on the streets would be cute? I am here to testify, some of these ladies pulled it off!
