Put Pamela Anderson in a pair of UGG boots and nobody questions her fashion sense, probably because no one is looking at her feet.  Put David Hasselhoff in a pair of UGG boots and WoooooWooooo, the self-proclaimed fashion police blare their dirty sirens.

In the Classic styles, there is no difference between womens and mens UGG boots.  Mens UGG boots regulate temperature, wick away moisture and are made from top-of-the-line leather and shearling, just like the women’s.  The mens-UGG debate is not a matter of function but rather a matter of that infamous two-headed monster:  fashion and homophobia.  And these, the UGGadillo knows, are in the eye of the beholder.

There are so many things a poor, lowly man is not allowed to do.  He can never feel an ocean breeze swirl beneath his skirt.  He can never know the confidence found in a tube of his boldest red lipstick.  He can’t even admire his calves while shimmying upstairs in pumps.  Why do so many men dress as women on Halloween?  Because women are allowed a buck-wild freedom in style, while men are shackled and chained to what is perceived as “masculine.”

When men choose an outfit, three things go through their minds.  1.) Is it clean?  2.) Is it comfortable?  3.) Is it gay?

Here at FleeceFootwear, we don’t playa’ hate on sexual orientation.  We don’t care what the captain of a high school football team would say about our style behind our backs.  Maybe mens UGG boots are gay.  We don’t care!  It takes a real man to wear a boysenberry-colored shirt, just as it takes a real man to wear UGG.  If pink Polo shirts can slip through the collective gay-dar, then it’s not a far stretch to say that mens UGG boots can become mainstream based solely on their comfort and versatility.

Rejoice, men of the world!  The UGGadillo says mens UGG boots are not only OK, but they are the sophisticated choice in men’s footwear.
