It’s popping up all over New York, the New York Times,  and hence the rest of the world. That’s right, summer dresses with boots. It’s a fashion juxtaposition that I happen to think is pretty hot (pardon the pun). I am not alone in this, the trend has been seen in boutiques across the country and on runways all over the world. “Summer boots” as they are now known have become a staple in many women’s wardrobes. As the seasons progress it just becomes too difficult to part with your favorite pair of boots and this phenomenon has created an aesthetic all it’s own. The heft of a boot takes the tooth-achingly sweet edge off of a flowery summer frock and adds interest to the summer wardrobe, not to mention adding a little balance to that LBD for a night out on the town. This look has even been spotted on bridesmaids! Now, who’s ready to wake their UGG boots from their summer slumber?
