Cleaning leads to UGG
For me, the past few days were the Weekend of Massive Reorganization. This entailed dishes, laundry, moving large pieces of furniture to different spots in the house, and sorting through papers, clothes and shoes that had miraculously migrated to corners of the living room.
There really isn’t much of a story in the reorganizing part; we all know what is entailed in creating a new room from the same furniture. What was interesting was the shoes. First, of course, is the fun of going through shoes to get rid of the ones that no longer fit or don’t match your current style. Or better yet, re-discovering shoes you’d forgotten you owned. Once we got through all the shoes we discovered the slippers. A whole basket full of slippers that I had never seen anyone wear. Originally, the idea had been that everyone would wear slippers in the house, since it’s a hardwood floor that attracts dirt and dust like there’s no tomorrow. Somehow, the slipper plan never quite happened and everyone just went around barefoot and accepted a life with dirty feet.
However, as soon as the pile of slippers was unearthed from the mound of shoes, an amazing thing happened: everyone decided it was time to wear slippers. And among this treasure trove of fuzzy shoes? UGG slippers! Suddenly, a pile of shoes in a basket was transformed to a neat line of sandals, shoes, and a cute little pair of Kids UGG Classic boots. To top it all off we were all wearing previously forgotten UGG slippers!
The moral of the story: Clean your house! You never know what glorious discoveries you’ll make in your own home.
