I had a dream…
Last night I had a dream. I had a dream I was wearing new, plush purple UGG boots. In this dream I was driving a stick shift car. It might have been a brand new Mini Cooper in British Racing Green, it might have been an orange 1997 Tercel. Regardless, I was driving a manual transmission vehicle successfully, and there to share in my glory and success were my beautiful purple UGG boots.
It was a good dream. I’m learning the whole clutch-first gear-second gear-stall the car thing, so there was a distinct sense of accomplishment in conquering this new skill, even if it was while asleep. And these mornings have been pretty cold, so it’s nice to dream of warming fleece wrapped around my toes and ankles.
Perhaps it’s a premonition of good things to come, or a dream to identify what I’m aspiring to. Or maybe it’s just really weird that I had a dream about driving in UGG boots. Take your pick…
TGIF UGG
Do you ever have those Fridays where you are so incredibly relieved that it’s the end of the week? Today is my day for that feeling. Of course, the day won’t be over for many hours, but the fact that Saturday (and the inevitable sleeping past 7am) is just around the corner is keeping me going.
The dangerous thing is that when I’m tired I am suddenly struck by the desire to shop. You know, the whole retail therapy approach to exhaustion. It really doesn’t help that payday just marched by waving a happy little piece of paper at me.
So, what to do on a day where tiredness meets a desire to be held and comforted? UGG. Take a look at the Classic Short Eggplant:

It’s just happy! Or the Classic Cardy Pool:

So refreshing after a long day when summer has said adios.
What’s to be done? If all I’ve got to do tomorrow is sleep and veg, might as well do so in style!

Cozy II: the name says it all
School Dayz
Here in our sweet little town it has started to get cold. And rather suddenly, considering last week we had forest fires and this morning I woke up to a 36 degree world. Needless to say, with the colder weather we’ve been seeing more coats, scarves and boots.
UGG especially is making an appearance in the colder weather. For whatever reason there were a gaggle of young’uns (OK, teenagers) wandering through downtown, and it was like a parade for UGG: Classic Short Black, Classic Tall Chestnut, and what may even have been an UGG Highkoo.Later when I was driving past the university I saw more UGG. Of course, rather than being paired with mini skirts and jeans, the college students seemed more at home in sweatpants and rolled down Classics on the way to a torturously early 10 o’clock class.
UGG boots are everywhere this fall, to the point where I’m thinking it might be a cult. Of course, who wouldn’t want to be one of the blessed few (or many) to have warm toes on these crisp Autumn days?
